Darüşşafaka Sports Club is established in 1914 by efforts of Satı Bey and Kalkay Sami Bey. It first included a lot of branches inside, but now they raise players at youth system. Darüşşafaka has a professional team at basketball only.

The team has won 2 championships in 1960-61 and 1961-62 seasons.
